I’m just curious about these. They still sell pretty cheaply and yet they have apparently decent build and the much-lauded dual, concentric technology. You even get asymmetric cabinets in the later Sixes series. IIRC the larger ones were also Dual Concentric.
Is there enough of the concept preserved when building down to a price? To someone who knows little about the breed, they seem to be a potential bargain. Anyone tried them or care to comment?

The Six series are pretty good as are the larger ones with the separate bass driver, D300 or something like that. IIRC the Sixes were quite pricey in their day compared to speakers of a similar size.

The Tannoys with the extra bass driver image less well than those with one driver (the single dual concentric).

I've never compared the two. A mate has the classic 1980s Richer Sounds system of Kenwood CD player, NAD3020 and Tannoy Sixes (the smallest ones). All still working fine over 30 years on.
