You'll be fine as long as you remember to pack a few adult nappies for the initiation rights. I'm bringing the Johnsons talc, I believe Andrew is tasked with bringing Sudofed cream. Not sure if that's taken internally or if it's external only 😂

Okay just paid for my room and it has been confirmed as 240 which is the same room as the Wam Show in this venue last year so any that visited will know were to find me . This year is a different system with stacked (yes two per side) KEF 103 Reference speakers from the 1970,s I have been told by one kind soul that these were not able to do bass well come and have a listen and a laugh . Please do ask to hear some thing you want to listen to I will have Tidal at the show so should be able to find most . Also please ask questions and have a chat , but do not be surprised if i am a little distracted this is me in normal worry mode hoping everything is going okay and the wireless does not drop out . There is a great deal of need for this first Maverick Show to go well to hopefully at least cover costs and raise a bit for the nominated charity . If we do well then there will be one again next year which is what I would like to see .

Room 218 has been assigned to me - can't remember the layout of that room but should be OK.

Okay just paid for my room and it has been confirmed as 240. I too have paid for mine. Mine is next door room 239. I was originally going to show. Then cancelled as I didn't think I could even attend, then last minute booked a room as it turns out I can. I'm not sure if I should show, or enjoy the show. Decisions decisions. Either way I'll be up on the Sat, so happy to be a dogsbody and help people carry stuff and set up kit. Just not sure if I can be arsed to do my own. I also have an issue in that my rack is actually a solid wood hifi cabinet and rather large/heavy and not really suitable for transport easily Edit: I also recall Andrew you mentioning somewhere previosuly about needing a hand shunting the bed and furniture around. Happy to help you with this.

I know that there is a real buzz about being at the show and just having the time to wander around listen and chat without the pressure of putting your own system up . I would ask if you can put a system together may be reduce it to one source . In most of the rooms there is a very large island in 240 it is across the right hand end so there is lots of spare to put your equipment on this rather than use a rack quite a few did this last year . Whatever you decide it is great you will be there and thank you for the offer of help I am sure it will be needed .

amormusic Pete, I picked up one of these AV stands from eBay a couple of weeks back. Less than £40 brand new, comes flat packed and takes <10 mins to assemble, its what im using this year with the kit shown in the photo. As you can see, plenty of room for a tt, cdp, BB3, pre & power. Will try and send you a link via WhatsApp.

I will be looking to knock something up regarding a rack with whatever I can find in the garage (the one used at home to house my system would be to awkward to disassemble then reassemble.
It will be very Heath Robinson but hopefully should do the job.

Found out today there are still 6 rooms available to exhibit for the show . So anyone who feels they would like to give it a go then get over to the Maverick site and contract one of the Show Team or Mods and they will give you details . If you are not a member but interested the PM me with an email address and I can pass this on .

Nice, but feel you'll spend time that will annoy you spinning nuts on the threaded bar to get the shelves level. It may be worth getting some 11/4 or 11/2 overflow pipe and cutting to length between shelves as columns slipped over the threaded bar. That way you'd only have to tighten the top nuts to pull it all in tight. Unless of course you plan to load it in the car fully assembled.

Built many of this style of rack over the years and I have the knack to get it setup reasonably quickly so no worries. Going to have a play with it as I think I won't bother with the very top part as it shouldn't be needed (will mean more grinding of the threaded bar!)

Great work Cheers Oli - makes sense to do this rather than buy another one just for the show (the one I use in the house is just to bulky to dismantle and assemble in the room).
