Either that or you could plump for a pair of User Be 20's Please don't . . . I'm weak Tony . . . Surely even you are not that gulible, inexpensive big bangers great if you wish to go loud with a naim style sound especially with the diamond tweeter versions, make excellent coffins I believe

Haha, yeah it was a bit tongue-in-cheek as I've had the 686 for 3 years+ now (maybe 4?) plus I can't see the BT2 going anywhere . . . ever. The Soekris/Mutec combo is also solid and unlikely to be beaten even for serious money so yeah, it's more just 'tweaks' and upgrades to existing kit. The only thing I could see being replaced/upgraded is the speakers to be honest, nowt wrong with the Logans mind just technology has moved on in the last decade or so and I've got an itch to find out where the state of the art is in that department . . . . Yeah I'm in the same boat Chris, other than acquiring a Koetsu stone body as a personal Everest I can't see where I'd get a significant SQ upgrade for sensible money. Different yes, but better? Okay my streaming setup isn't SOTA (Pimped Node + SBooster/Audio-GD DDC/Pimped Black Ice DSD) but given I've no real, interest in digital it can stay as is, as the sound is more than acceptable. Also moving up from the Summits to 13A or 15A is a £10-15k jump secondhand, Ouch!!! You've got a great system there John, that is why I would have loved to come to one of your bake off's, and many will be envious of your digital side too.

Having never heard a pair I have no reference good or bad . . . . all I know is it would be categorically bad for ones wallet, and from what you imply ones aural enjoyment also. Being attached to a Naim surely would be the final nail in this particular 'coffin' as you describe.

In the last three years we have six pairs traded with us (two pairs of Be10's) if you read the original blurb, they sounded promising a cross bween Prozac's and Focal, the realty was nah, however many of the owners were under the illusion they were a quality speaker. Think cheap speed, big bangers with not much in the way of subtley, front end heavy witn the detail and big fullsome bass and they do require a decent sized room and a good glops of current. Think slightly polished boom & tizz

Dave, anytime you fancy visiting give me a shout, happy for you to crash here to reduce the distance you drive in a day. Having a BO this Sunday and next one will be early/mid August.

Hi folks. I am missing a record that I took to the bake-off, a few people were looking at it to note what it was in the seating area.
Perhaps one of you took it home by mistake? I can't say what the title is as it hadn't made it to the LP listing that I have, plus my memory is shite. It was an amalgamation of 2 jazz bands, the first was John somebody. The record date was around 1973 and the inner sleeve was signed.
Anyone with any info?
