I've never really been to one before, closest I've got is forcing family or friends against their will to be blasted by my stereo sub setup, which they were mostly less than enthusiastic about . . . .
I would think it will be most interesting for everyone to see how far (or not) hifi in general (but especially digital) has come in the last few years. Although having said that it will also be a chance for some to see just how much development and effort has gone into certain phono stages born of this parish (me for one).
If I can carve out the time I'll be well up for it.

I bought a Luxman Avance amplifier off the back of one and had it not made an appearance at the Bakeoff, id never have known about it. I bought a Krell too lol

STRAW POLL
I have looked at a pub style venue in Dudley, there is a Travelodge in Dudley town centre within 2 miles for those that would need to stay over. There is the choice of a small 8 x 5m or large 10 x 8.5m function room with drinks and Indian style food available.
I need an idea of numbers to possibly book one or other room, proposed date is Saturday 26th March. Depending on everyone's diary the day could be Sunday and the date altered to suit.
Please feedback here.

Looks decent if rather reflective acoustically.

Looks decent if rather reflective acoustically. Agreed. Wondered if there is somewhere to hang some moving blankets?

Think I still have some spring loaded market stall tarp clips (big bulldog type) to hold duvets/blankets to those pelmets.

I can bring a decent rug... Accepted....lol We should try to get as many bodies in that room as we possibly can. It's been too long since there was a decent gathering.

Great work Alan in finding somewhere, I'm pretty sure the date you have chosen would be ideal for two of us. With John (Lurch) unable to make it, would still be happy to push back to April, but will check with my brother for any no no date. The amount of kit that could be brought along, I guess we need about one week to get it all listened to

The only date for April which we could not make would be the weekend of the 30th and 1st May. Saturday or Sunday would be ok for us. When we have a date I'll list a few bits that I could bring along.
