Hello Audio Addicts, I'm looking for someone who makes custom acrylic covers. I have a Pro-Ject Cover It 2.1 for my GyroSE and it works great but now I need one for my tube amp. Cover It 2.1 doesn't fit because the cutout in the back doesn't fit all the cables and it's cut too low. Also it's pricey these days. I have tried with prdisplays in UK and acrylteller in Germany but after multiple emails, i never heard from them. So I'm reaching out to see if maybe you fellas know other companies or small shops who can make a custom cover. I want one exactly like the one I have (picture attached) but with higher and wider cutout in the back. The dimensions are, outer width: 510w x 290h x 430d mm Thank in advance

I bought a fantastic one for the SP10. They even put notches in it as I specified for hinges, which I subsequently removed. Let me find the details.

Can’t find any information about them being short on staff or anything. They would be ideal, I’ll try and wait to see if they respond this coming week.

Try Plastic Online Limited. I used them to make a bespoke cover for the Technics SL1210 I had at the time, they did a great job.

Hi, I ordered a custom acrylic cover for my PTP Lenco from www.puffinplastics.co.uk/. The price was sensible and the cover is very nicely made and imo good looking. They managed to put the cutout for the turntable cables on the wrong side first. When I contacted them and raised up the issue they promptly sent me another one, no questions asked. Great service and based on this experience I can recommend them! /Karl

Picked up the cover this morning and they did splendid job. It's not the same quality finish as the Pro Ject Cover It I have for the TT but it's very close and almost half the money. I can finally have a peace of mind while my daughter is playing around the amp. Those knobs and tubes were magnets for small fingers Here's some pics.

That looks like a tidy job. Thanks, quite happy with the results. Can’t wait to see my little girls reaction when she gets home from daycare and those knobs and tubes are out of reach

They won’t be out of reach for long. I educated my daughter that if she wants to touch the HiFi, she has to ask me, and we will do it together.

She’s a year and half so I will have to wait with that part but the older one after destroying three nautilus tweeters has now zero interest in hifi. His comment is, dad so much effort for music when you can ask Google to play whatever you want :/

Indeed, my girls learned pretty much from day one and they are 18 and 22 now, never ever had an issue. Cant even remember what i might have said when they were toddlers, but they just knew somehow and never ever touched

They look great as does the cabinet they are standing on, and for that matter, so does the room from what little we can see of it there. I'm sure you already know, but just be careful when dusting, you don't want the tops getting scratched.

My wife just shakes her head when i'm in action and usually drops a comment like: wish you were that pedantic with vacuuming . It's a entire process that takes time so we don't end upp with finger prints or scratches. Insanity I know but it's part of the hobby.
