Me shoe theory..... You can wear whatever you want within reason if you have good shoes on and you'll look cool. But , even if you have a thousand pound suit on , you'l look like a twat if your shoes are bad. Anyone coming to me for an interview wearing shitty shoes or equally bad , no socks 🤨 can get straight back on the bus. No matter how qualified they might be. Bad shoes = tosser . Luckily I have the greatest loafers ever produced. Made in exotic old Northampton no less. Look and dream , no socks man ! .

Still the most comfortable footwear ever but now resigned to "loafing"

Reebok Classic. Not got a picture but you all know what they look like. Not keen on shoes of any style but the trend of wearing brown shoes to work needs stopping.

Bought from a shoe shop directly outside the Pantheon. Great blue suede shoes but they're bloody heavy ! I feel like a deep see diver in em. .

Brogue. The king of shoes. Essential. They don't have to be red though. . .

Spent about 2 hours with him once going into every sports shop in Liverpool (which is a lot) looking for some particular type in brown. We never found them. Used to wear Hi-Tech basketball boots for years, until they stopped doing them. Tried Nike Air but they don't last that long and they're expensive. A pair of Classics lasts me six months, just about acceptable for the price. Trainers of some sort were compulsory at school so the parquet floors didn't get damaged. My mum would only buy us Gola and other crap from the market though. She wouldn't pay more than a fiver. If you wanted a decent make you had to buy them yourself.

I’ve got a couple of pairs of trainers but my feet don’t like them. Still waiting for this to grow out from last time I wore a pair (at least I didn’t lose the nail).

At the moment, I'm shamelessly wearing a really tatty old blue teeshirt, rather baggy black joggers and cheap and nasty grey rubber flip-flops, A hideous ensemble admittedly, but very comfy and I don't give a toss anyway. I even walk the mutt dressed like this sometimes!

I have some Trimm Trabs in brown..... among a few other pairs to be fair. I haven’t worn any of them for the best part of 10 years though.

Trickers hand made- Bit on the pricey side, but as they can be sent back to be re-soled, if you look after them they will last a lifetime.

Luckily I have the greatest loafers ever produced. Made in exotic old Northampton no less. Look and dream , no socks man ! . For once, I actally agree with Mr Engine about people who turn up for a job interview wearing dirty sloppy casual shoes should be shown the nearest exit door. If ever I go for any interview I wear the best clean clothes and shoes that I own, although at my age I don't get any interviews at all now.
My missus works in a charity shop and around 3 months ago she brought home a box with 3 pairs of shoes very similar to those above, all brand new. Haven't worn them yet, but will do when the occasion arises.
My feet are very sensitive at the moment and I cannot wear any heavy shoes at all, so my dear missus beings me home a pair of safety boots with steel toecaps which I could barely move in, same at the CAT boots she bought me 3 years ago. I was in Tescos as few weeks ago and found a pair of lightweight lined and padded boots which are perfect, especially in this cold weather when I take the dogs down to a muddy field for their walkies.
