a bit,but all is not lost, the decca ribbons will go nicely with the coral full range units i have. a recap may also freshen up the 700's. the top end is good and so is the bass, its the mids they sound sort of boxed in?? i think someone mentioned they are the weak point of the speaker. really what i should do is remember i already have a very good pair of speakers and stop sodding about with others and spend the money on improving them.

I like the fact you haven't rested on the yammies. There always something out there but is suspect they will be hard to better in an outright kind of way.

been busy today,i got rid of the old ms speaker connectors, they are just pan screw heads that you trap the wires in.ive cleaned and put on some from the ditton 66's.plus ive raided my spares box and actually found a load of new alcaps, enough to re do all the old electrolytic's in the crossovers!they have lost that boxy sound and now are much better intergrated. a bodge but effective!
