I have been out in my garden for about 40 minutes now, and not one car has driven past. I like to get my daughter outside as often as possible, as fresh air is good for you. With a 2 acre garden we have plenty of space to self isolate. People are taking this seriously now. My wife went to the local market this morning to buy the fruit and veg direct from the farmers where possible. It is usually packed there. She said there were 30 people max there this morning. Apparently the first doctor has died from it today here in France. Not a good sign. Seems that the British aren't respecting the severity of this Virus. PM had now stated that a failure to adhere to the guidelines they have set out, will result in enforcement. Martial law is almost guaranteed ad these imbeciles wont stay in the house.

Trying despertely to lighten the mood, but just think how much lovely hifi gear is gonna be up for grabs after this . No offence but most of us on here are going to be knockin on a bit(excluding our whippersnapper Ringmaster who I believe is in his 30s), I'm only 55 so if any of you coffin dodgers out there would care to add me as a beneficiary in your will I would be most grateful. Lets face it whose missus would keep their hifi gear after they've gone? Please, only good quality digital gear as I can't be arsed to faff around with dem weird radiograms you lot seem so keen on. Imagine having to stand up and go through the ritual, and it is a ritual, every 20mins or so to have some tunes on, madness!! I may be a spring chicken In comparison but I am Asthmatic, so I am pretty much DOA if I get it, according to the news anyway. See if I get the letter to stay in the house for 12 weeks

WTF ?
A paramedic has described being evicted from his home because his landlady was concerned that he could spread Covid-19 at the property, raising further concerns that medical staff are being stigmatised because of their contact with the virus.
Joseph Hoar, a paramedic for South Western ambulance service, tweeted on Saturday night that he had been asked to leave his home by text message within 24 hours because the owner was “super nervous about having someone from the NHS here”.
“It’s only a matter of time before you are in contact with the virus,” a screenshot of the WhatsApp message said. “Can you organise an Airbnb and collect your stuff tomorrow. Sorry I normally would never do this but it’s not worth the risk.”

I'm finding being in so much with a centrally heated house tends to make the throat dry anyway.

I am supposed to be going to Scotland on holiday in a few weeks. That won't be happening. It has been planned for two years. Bummer, I'll go in your place (joking).

Advice please ...? The wife coughed once in the middle of the night. Should I kick her out of the house for my own protection ? I have to take into account that I don't know how to use the washing machine or the iron thingy ? 😟

Furious that many people regarded this weekend as a bank holiday and flocked to parks and beaches in their crowds with not a care in the world Maybe they won't get a severe dose, but they will get it at some point as most of us will and the whole thing is to prevent the NHS being overloaded too quickly.
I bet Boris will go into full 'cross parent' mode this evening and we'll go into full lockdown - but many people had it coming sadly

Then when domestic duties should prove troublesome you can always shout through the window for advice.

I've been down, but not like this before, Can't be 'round this kind of show no more All, all that you dream, Comes to shine in silver lining And clouds, clouds change the scene Rain starts washing all these cautions, Right into your life, make you realize Just what is true, what else can I do Just follow the rule, Keep your eyes on the road that's ahead of you
I've been down, but not like this before, Can't be 'round this kind of show no more All of the good, good times were ours, In the land of milk and honey And time, time has its scars, Rainy days they turn to sunny ones Livin' the life, livin' the life lovin' everyone
I've been down, but not like this before, Can't be 'round this kind of show no more

I'd be the one stored in the shed but as to whether I'd be fed or watered..........

I'd urge all those with pre-existing serious conditions to speak with their local supermarket manager. After we failed to get any bread, bread flour or tissues or paracetamol (I have to take fairly regular pain relief and have had scant sleep for nights down to running out) I submitted my letter to the local store this morning, complaining to the manager that people were still clearing the shelves first thing every morning. He kindly took the letter which also had my contact details and has offered to put aside from stores the minimal weekly essential rations I need due to my illnesses. It's worth trying this at your local store although you will either have to go in or have someone do this for you.
I would put money on food rationing being introduced more formally within the next two weeks though. People are taking way more than they need presently.

There was a stupid bitch trying to buy lots of the same thing this morning in the supermarket.
The checkout man and store manager had to have strong words with her.

It seems much more normal over here. People are respecting limits set by the shops.

I was in the checkout queue on Saturday and in front of me was a fat bint with a large trolley full of food with 3 large (32) packs of bog rolls perched on top, so I said to her "what do they taste like?" she scowled at me and looked as though she was going to take a swing at me, so I told her to put two back before I set fire to them. She did. Mind you, her arse was enormous so a roll or two would be needed each time she took a dump.
